Reeds are available for different sizes of yarns. The 2.5 and 5 dpi (dents per inch) reeds feature a wide eye for novelty yarns, the 7.5 and 10 work well with DK and Sport yarns. The 12.5 and 15 dpi reeds work with fingering/sock and finer yarns and can also be used doubled (with a double heddle kit) for use with 2/8 and 4/8 cottons.
Made from strong, durable nylon with Silver Beech rails, reeds come in 12, 20 and 28 inch widths.
Vari-Dent reeds available in all sizes allow you to mix different warp sizes within one project.
Also available is the Double Heddle Kit which allows you to use even finer yarns with your knitters loom by doubling the size you are able to thread, the kit does not include an extra reed. Two x 12.5 reeds enable you to thread 24 ends per inch (epi) and use 2/8 Brassard cotton - perfect for tea towels.
